As a result of the two Unification Agreements with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (operating as Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario), the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario and the Certified General Accountants of Ontario resigned their authorization to license and govern the activities of their members as public accountants.
If you are not satisfied with the manner in which your complaint about the conduct of an LPA was handled you may request the Council to review the handling of your complaint.

NOTE: The Council’s procedures for conducting a review of the licensing body’s handling of complaints are set out in Council Guideline No. 2008 – 5. The Council’s ability to review the handling of your complaint is limited to decisions of CPA Ontario's investigating committee regarding the conduct of the LPA and does not extend to decisions of CPA Ontario's disciplinary or appeal committees.
After conducting its review of the handling of your complaint the Council’s ability to address your complaint is limited to recommending whether or not to refer the complaint back to CPA Ontario to investigate the complaint more fully.
